Resurrect is a company that allows companies to offset their carbon emissions with nature restoration projects. Since Resurrect is a brand new start-up, they were in need of a full brand exercise.
We structured the collaboration with the following steps:
1. We started with a rebranding workshop, with interactive exercises to define core values and to link visual expressions to those values.
2. I used the results of the workshop to propose two different styles. Both with the same foundation of core values and visual expressions that the client linked to those values during the workshop, but with a different interpretation.
3. Feedback on the proposed styles, and finalising the style guide.
4. Use the style guide to create an online platform, a presentation template and social media templates.
During the workshop, I let clients think about the visualisations that match their core values. Is professionalism important to you as a company? Would that be represented by certain shapes, styles, or photography? What sensations do you feel when you look at certain colours? We also discuss the competitor analysis: are your competitors following the same trends? How can you distinguish yourself from them?
I combined purple (identified as the strongest colour during the workshop) with a bright trend colour. One of Resurrect’s core values is innovation and market leadership: the company reimagines carbon credits in a transparent way. This colour combination gives the branding a slick, contemporary feel that reflects a young company without compromising on professionalism.
Ultimately, the client chose to move forward with the proposal featuring the bright purple. The selected logo combines the shape of a wave, referencing natural elements, with an upward arrow symbolising progress. A graph-like form is also embedded in the logo to reflect the company’s data-driven approach.
Together with Resurrect we mapped out a full sitemap containing information about their services, projects, and an interactive platform for users to buy and sell their carbon credits. After the sitemap and elaborate wireframes, I created a prototype which allowed Resurrect to walk though a dummy of their future website.
In the process of developing the website, I used various tools such as Relume and Figma. These tools allow an efficient workflow for everyone involved in the project. After the sitemap, wireframes and prototype of the website, I created the final designs. The result is a clean and minimalist website with a clear sitemap and maximum transparency in data and information, enabling the users to navigate comfortably through the website.
These accessible and easy-to-use templates to carry the branding through all the company's communications.
